Millions of people suffer at the hands of a company called ChexSystems.
ChexSystems is a credit reporting agency relied upon by a group of financial institutions (banks) who have gathered together to prevent people who have mishandled financial accounts in the past from opening new accounts at any new banks.
Unfortunately, with the current increase in identity theft across the nation, a large number of innocent people have been affected by this reporting system. If a consumer has been reported to ChexSystems, the affects can be disastrous. The consumer can be denied a checking account at ANY bank for 5 years. Fortunately, help does exist for those consumers who want to remove themselves from Chexsystems to open a check account.
The consumer advocate website, ChexsystemsRelief.com, offers relief in a manner different than the majority of websites on the internet. Most of the companies that offer relief from ChexSystems only provide a list of banks that do not belong to the conglomeration. These lists are often inaccurate and the banks that are accurate are usually small banks that can be up to hundreds of miles away from the consumer’s home. Other sites that offer removal from the database do not actually follow through. ChexsystemsRelief.com is different though.
This advocacy group does not just provide a list of banks that do not use ChexSystems. Instead, they offer a free removal service, with a guarantee that the process will begin within 24 hours. Actual removal is the best option for those who are having conflict with ChexSystems. Removal allows consumers to open a checking account at any bank, regardless of whether or not the financial institution belongs to the ChexSystems group. With the use of Chexsystems Relief, consumers will be able to clear up their banking ,credit history, write checks for their bills, and not have to drive halfway across the country to find an accommodating bank.

If you do diligent research you will be able to find some banks that do not participate in that system but more than likely will not be in your local area. That is not necessarily a problem nowadays since most banks are national and no longer regional. If you can find a bank that does not participate in the system and is willing to give you a second chance you need to be particularly diligent this time around. And if you're fortunate enough to get a second checking account they will more than likely give you a debit card that can be used against your checking account for online purchases, or making purchases locally. ReplyDeleteUnderstanding the non chexsystems banks
ReplyDeleteis no big deal and also removing the chexsystem is no more burden these days. If you owe any money to a bank, it is best that you begin to pay them back. Having a ChexSystems report that shows you paid all of your debts is better than one that shows outstanding debts to banks. It is also important to contact your creditor before you plan on paying them back. The reason behind this is that it is possible the bank is willing to remove the negative ChexSystems report if you pay in full. You never know when you might get a lucky break and the bank is willing to take your name off of ChexSystems.
Banks will not remove you from ChexSystems even if you pay them what you owe them. I've worked in a bank for many years and this is not an option because banks look more at why you were put on ChexSystems moreso than did you pay them back 2 or 3 years later or not. If you want off ChexSystems, fast visit www.ChexSystemsRemoved.com (these guys do it for real!)

ReplyDeleteMost of them will give chexsystems victims a checking account with checks and a check check card as long as the consumer was not reported for fraudulent activity.
Paying a account reported to ChexSystems will not guarantee that you can open another checking account. Derogatory information will remain with ChexSystems for 5 years. For those looking for banks and credit unions that either don't use or will overlook bad items on your Chexsystems report - see Second Chance Checking Accounts for a current real list of verified banks that will give you a fresh start at a new account.
